Love and Respect to our parents and to all the mothers

The moment of seeing Matthew hand, my heart sink…. nervous ….. joy….. happy….  I am a DAD now.

Matthew, I heard you cried for the first time in my life.  I didn’t know what to do.  I felt so helpless at the time.  I just snapped away bunch of pictures.

Looking at you… I saw a corned head, dumbo ears, my nose ), two tiny hands, two chicken legs.  Oh! that “thing” is huge.  Good genes, son. ))

You’re looking funny.  At least, you have your mom good-looking features.  You’re going to look better than me.  Hmmm…o.k., I love you.

Right away, you were sucking your tiny tiny fingers after your first bath in the delivery room.  

You looked clean after all those gooey stuffs from mom wash away.  I have a box of candy cigars given to us from our friend, Jennie, to congratulate us on 

your arrival.  You can’t have any.  Candy is bad for your teeth.  Oh! well, you don’t have any tooth yet.  Let’s me finish them for you.  Thanks son.

Matthew, don’t you already have enough attention from my wife.  My wife and I just married last October.   I just got her attention for about ……????

Since then, you stole all her attentions away from me.  I was like single again, but I don’t have any more free time.  Hmmm… Still, I love you.

Hahaha… why are you making a face?  Because of your big mouth, big nose, dumbo ears, I love you.  

Well, I should post a nice picture of you so that you don’t say that I keep teasing you.

It’s a boy.

Last month, I had a chance to visit a nursing home where one resident wrote a beautiful poem about the relationship between mother and child.  Unfortunately, It’s in Vietnamese so I can’t help you guys there.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for this heart warming, a gentle reminder on how children should respect and caring for their elder.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you….

Why March for Babies?   Because the March of Babies champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation.   The money we raise for March for Babies will help:
- support all-important research offering preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects
- educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby
- provide comfort and information to families with a newborn in intensive care
- push for newborn screening and health insurance for all pregnant women and children

As my wife and I are staying in Las Vegas, the sin city, for the Valentine weekend to celebrate our four years anniversary, we just want to thank our family and friends for all your love and support for the past, present, and future days ahead of us.  We wish everyone have a happy Valentine’s day fill with laughter, sweet memories, love, as well as a lot of yummy foods.
